Noshin Mohamed, Outreach Worker at the Centre contacted EU-UNAWE for some ideas on how to incorporate Space ideas for the younger children and has sent in this image of one of the displays.
Noshin comments “As you can imagine working with 0-5 year olds can be tricky when it comes to a really focused activity, but having said that the children created paper-mache models of the different planets.
I also took on board your idea of astronauts, which we pre-drew for the children and they decorated. To really focus in on the theme of science/ discovery I also called in the Science Museum, who did some great workshops at the Children’s Centre. It’s the first time we have bought science into the Children’s Centre in such a way!”
