Asteroids’ Distant Cousin Discovered
This artist’s impression an asteroid that was spotted beyond the orbit of Neptune. This curious object probably formed in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. It must have been kicked billions of kilometres from its original home a long time ago, when the Solar System was very young.
