The Peanut at the Heart of our Galaxy

This is an artist's representation of our Galaxy, the Milky Way, as seen from the outside. You can see the busy heart of the galaxy glowing, this is called the Galactic Bulge. Astronomers have just made the best ever three dimensional map of it, which, it turns out, is peanut shaped!
