This amazingly detailed photograph of comet 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko shows the target landing site for Philae. The area located at the "head" of the comet has been labelled Site J, with the centre indicated by a cross. Site J was judged to be the safest site, with gentle slopes, few boulders and enough sunlight to keep the solar-powered probe alive.
