Alien Planets Could Look Just Like Home

An artist created these images to show what plant life might look like on alien worlds compared to prehistoric Earth. The right image shows the surface of the Earth millions of years ago.

The image on the left shows a planet around a star smaller and cooler than the Sun. The starlight on this world would be different than on our home, however underwater conditions would be the same! This is because only only blue-green light can travel through meters of water.
