The conference ‘Communicating Astronomy with the Public 2013’ (CAP2013) kicked off today at the Copernicus Science Centre in Warsaw, the capital of Poland. The bi-annual conference will run from 14 to 18 October, during which the 200 participating members of the astronomy education and public outreach community will take enjoy a range of workshop sessions, talks, unconferences, interactive planetarium shows and more, all focussed on tackling the challenges of communicating of astronomy and space exploration and the influence of these activities on science outreach an education
