A Whole New World
The planet in this picture is called 51 Peg b. It isn’t a very exciting name, but it’s the name of an exciting planet! 51 Peg b was the first exoplanet to be discovered orbiting around a normal star (like our Sun) and the first to be seen directly in visible light.
